Going out to eat with our little one has always been pretty stress free thanks to his love for drawing and colouring. He started drawing as soon as he managed to hold a pencil and he hasn’t stopped since. Only the scribbles have turned into proper shapes and eventually into drawings of the world around him. We have started taking paper and colouring pens with us everywhere from the age of two so he would be entertained and we could have a conversation without a screaming child. Things have changed slightly recently has he likes to take part in the conversation, nothing wrong with that apart from the fact that he is the one who does most of the talking!

Anyway when I saw the chalk placemats by Dine.n.Doodle I thought they were such a brilliant idea. Colourful laminate cotton on one side and chalk cloth on the other make the perfect hygienic placemat and drawing board for any little artist. These handcrafted placemats are perfect to use at home or to take to restaurants. A handy holder keeps the chalk and both sides are easily wiped with a damp cloth. They roll up to easily fit in your bag and are the perfect alternative to notebooks or loose paper sheets. They come in different colours and prints.dine-and-doodle-chalk-mat
