Fab Mums

busy mums and their kids

About

me-and-lucaHi everyone, I am Maria the proud mum of a very active 5 year old (6 going on 7 now…how time flies!) boy named Luca. Together we have a lot of fun and are always on the lookout for interesting activities to do to stimulate his learning abilities and to develop a positive attitude towards the outdoor. I left the demanding nine to five routine when Luca was born and my husband and I relocated to Sardinia from London to benefit from the warmer climate and to have a better quality of life. During the last 4 years I have worked on building a work-from-home business which enables me to follow my son’s everyday development. Today I successfully run a list of travel sites about several destinations; I started with Sardinia and then moved on to other countries. I organise my work around a busy schedule: school, sports, learning groups and all those social commitments that children get accustomed to in today’s busy environment.

I decided to start a blog to share the many activities we do as well as tips about new products and anything that comes to mind.

If you are a busy mum and want to share your experiences or tell other mums about something new please email maria@fabmums.com .

I visited your blog and I was wondering if I can recommend it. Since many of our audience are middle/upper class, I am sure they would love to visit a blog like yours.

Let me know if this is ok. Thanks for your time and take care.

    Hi Maria,

I found your blog through our friends at Baby Star. My husband and I started a small toy company last November in Portland, OR. I think you and Luca will love our new plush robots, the Bunk Bots. Bunk Bots are crazy, soft robots, safe for all ages. There are 10 bots in all, each with a unique name, design, and story. Please visit our website to meet the guys and learn more about us.

Thanks! As the mum of two boys, I’ve loved reading your blog!
    Greta

    Dear Maria,

I’ve heard great things about your blog Fab Mums– and read great things on it– and so, wanted to reach out and get on your radar as I think your readers might be interested in my newly released book by Random House, “If You Give a Mom a Martini: 100 Ways to Find 10 Blissful Minutes for Yourself.” The website for the book is: http://www.IfYouGiveaMomaMartini.com.

Here’s the quick skinny on my book and me:

I am the mother of two young boys and the creator of Divalysscious Moms (www.divamoms.com), New York City’s premier luxury lifestyle company for fabulous moms and tots, with more than 23,000 active members.

The book is geared toward busy busy moms- basically every mom when it’s put that way. While being a mom and a parent is wonderful and rewarding this book reminds them that they should be focusing on themselves as well. The book has “time-outs” for moms who love their kids but also long for a few minutes when they’ve got nowhere to be, no one to listen to, and no diapers to change. I, along with my co-author Julie Klappas, have compiled 100 imaginative ways they and their friends-including such celebrities as Kelly Ripa, Christie Brinkley, Cynthia Rowley, Keisha Whitaker and Jill Hennessy-spend their time when they have 10 luscious minutes to themselves. We know that every good mom deserves a break. This book is a start-to chuckle over with their friends or really use when they need a precious respite.

I’d love love LOVE your thoughts and comments on my new book, and I’d like to send you a free copy. I especially hope you would consider posting a blurb or review on your awesome blog to help spread the word of what I consider a fabulous book for moms.

Thanks for your time and I look forward to hearing from you soon. And oh yes, Happy Mother’s Day!

    Warmest,
    Lyss xoxo

P.S. If you could please send me your mailing address, I’ll get a copy of the book sent out right away.

Hi there - search on Google under ‘mums who travel with their young kids’ and you came up. Great move to Sardinia - a lovely place - with great people! I will have a read through your archives as I am looking out for other mums who travel. My daughter is 2 1/2 years old - and I want to start travelling with her now that she is imbibing everything around her. I may have to quit the rat race to do it - but I think it will be worth it in the long run!
