Multipurpose decorated jars

Submitted by on August 9, 2012 – 2:53 amNo Comment

This is our selection of decorated jars that can have many uses, in the summer evenings we use them as lanterns to decorate and illuminate our outdoor. They are great for floating candles. I also like them simply as vases, but they work just as well as pen holders on the desk. I started to decorate them with coloured tissue paper with the decoupage technique, but then I discovered that if you melt a piece of tissue paper in the glue and water mix and then paint the glass with it you end up with a fabulous tinted stained glass effect so with the next jars I will try to improve on this technique and see what I can make.
