We are constantly making things out of paper, cardboard, plastic and anything we can find, but we often need a little help to find new ideas. I have found a great book with original suggestions to make things with your children.

The Big Book of Farmyard Tales Things to Make and Do focuses on activities based on animals, vegetable and anything you may find on a farm, each project is explained step by step with written instructions and images so it is easy to follow. I really like that a lot of the projects use materials you can easily find around the house encouraging children to use their imagination and to recycle cardboard egg cartons, straws and newspapers. Some of the techniques used to create prints are also original and use vegetables cut in half, like potatoes and carrots, but my favourite prints are the ones obtained with leaves.
