For those of you who don’t know, we have recently moved to a place just outside Barcelona. It’s a lovely place on the coast and we happen to live in an area called La Pineda, i.e. Pine Woods, so on Sunday we took advantage of our lovely location and went looking for pinecones. We came back with a bag full of lovely pinecones for our Christmas decorations. The first thing we made is a very simple pinecone wreath to decorate the front door. I kept the pinecones natural without any varnish or paint and I displayed them together around an old ring. I tied them with wire and used green felt cuttings and red ribbon to add a little colour.
