Empty olive tins turn into funky furniture and mini kitchen toys with the creative vision of Rafinesse & Tristesse. The Berlin based company was founded in 2007 by Karin Yilmaz Egger and Petra Schultz whose vision could see beyond the empty containers and come up with these trendy recycled pieces. Every piece is unique and made entirely out of recycled objects with remarkable attention to details. Frizzle Sizzle is the mini kitchen toy and Splish Splash is the toy sink. They are both finished with little details added everywhere, from the gas knobs and the smaller tins attached to the sides of the kitchens to the taps and mirrors of the sinks. On top of that the signs of a previous life such as dents and scratches make these pieces even more unique that are sure to provide hours of pretend play entertainment. As well as the pretend play toys, Rafinesse & Tristesse produce the Tin Tuffet stools, which are made with the same concept using empty olive tins with cushions covered by canvas, oilcloth, artificial leather or cloth covers. These hip stools are good to use anywhere in the house or in the garden thanks to the waterproof covered seats.rafinesse-tristesse-products
