Loo roll reindeer and Santa Claus

Submitted by on November 18, 2011 – 2:50 am4 Comments

Meet the loo roll Father Christmas and his reindeer with Rudolph leading the pack. This is a very quick craft that we intend to use for our festive animation series. To make the reindeer you need 9 loo rolls – we have only made 5 reindeer so far – glue, construction paper, scissors and crease paper preferably brown, though we used black because we had a lot left over from previous crafts.

Cut the crease paper so that you can wrap the loo roll with it; the paper should be taller than the loo roll so that it can be turned in instead of using too much glue.  Secure the paper at the end with a touch of glue.

Cut the reindeer horns, eyes and nose out of construction paper and glue them onto the loo roll. Colour the noses brown apart from Rudolph’s that should be red.

To make Santa Claus you need one loo roll, red crease paper, black marker, cotton wool and glue.

Cover the loo roll with crease paper to make Santa’s coat and attach cotton wool on the edge to make the coat’s fur. Draw Santa’s face on a piece of card and attach more cotton wool to make the beard. Attach the face to the front of the loo roll. add a few details to the coat with the black marker.
