Learn Through Play: Another Dr Seuss Title Joins the App Store
To celebrate World Ocean Day on June the 8th and the book’s 50th anniversary Oceanhouse Media launched yet another fabulous digital version of Dr Seuss’s books. After classic stories like The Cat in the Hat, The Lorax and How The Grinch Stole Christmas it is the turn of One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish to join the App store. This new eBook is structured in the same way as the previous Dr Seuss titles combining the beautiful original artwork of the book with innovative features that promote reading in young children, including highlighted picture / word associations, professional narrations and custom background audio. First published in 1960 One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish is still appealing to children 50 years later and most importantly the digital transition works well with Theodor Geisel’s original vision of teaching children to read with an easy and fun method. Besides the eBook, there is a new game available for your iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad; “Up With A Fish!” is another entertaining app in which players help the Cat in the Hat stack falling objects on top of his tower of fish bowls.
