Summer is around he corner, let’s talk sunscreen

sunblock

It was so warm in the sun yesterday that after a while I longed for a spot in the shade. When I start searching for shade I know the summer is not far off, so choosing a sunscreen lotion was at the top of my list this morning.

I picked two products, both by Lavera, the Sun Spray Neutral protection level 30 for face and body to use immediately and a proper Sun Block SPF 40 for the coming months. When school breaks my son goes to a summer group on the beach every morning until lunchtime so it is important his skin is fully screened. I used factor 40 all through July and August last year and I was satisfied with the level of protection. His skin is very delicate so I need to be careful I only use products without fragrance and as natural as they come. The sun creams by Lavera are 100% natural and free of Oxybenzone and cetyl cinnamates which are known to be harmful for the body causing unwanted hormonal changes. Lavera sunscreens are based on natural mineral pigments that deliver effective and immediate protection from UV-A, B and C creating a physical shield on the skin without the use of chemical filters. They are good for the whole family, even suitable for babies over 6 months.

Unlike products with chemical filters that need to be applied 30 minutes before exposure this natural option offers immediate protection and is fully waterproof.
