Loo roll bee

Submitted by on July 7, 2011 – 2:44 amOne Comment

Loo rolls are great to make characters and animals with children. We made a bee with a loo roll, acrylic paint, adhesive tape and a strip of flexible bolster wood. First we covered one of the extremities with construction paper, and then we traced some stripes with masking tape and painted the roll with yellow paint. When it dried, we removed the masking tape and painted the remaining stripes black. We left it to dry. At the end we drew the bee’s facial features on the extremity that we had previously covered and we attached the wings and the sting. The sting is just a piece of pointed construction paper and the wings are strips of bolster wood folded into bows.
