The Design Museum in London has an interesting workshop coming up in April to coincide with the current exhibition, Brit Insurance Designs of the Year. The theme of the workshop is transport hence the title: Slide, Glide and Ride. Children between 5 and 11 are invited to express their creativity coached by industry experts to create their own form of transport. The workshops at the Design Museum on Sunday afternoon are very popular so booking early is advised to reserve a place. The mix of quality material available and the support of industry working artists is the key to the success of the kids’ workshops taking place every Sunday afternoon between 2 and 5pm. Slide, Glide and Ride is on Sunday  11, 25 April and Sunday 9, 30 May. Admission fee is £4 and £8.50 for accompanying adults. Fees include entry to all current exhibitions.
