Barcelona with kids: Trixi-Kids tricycle
I fell in love with Barcelona the moment I set foot there. A big city on the sea with good weather, culture, arts, lots of shops and sports. Add to that good food and you have a winner in my book. We are all in love with this southern European city in our family and could happily live there. Unfortunately it’s not so simple to move about when you have a child in school. I have been planning our return to the UK for a while now so I know what is like to up and leave. Let me just say it will cause a little chaos, at least initially. It helps that my son has inherited my itchy feet; I didn’t know if I should be pleased or concerned when the other day he asked – where shall we move next?
However, for the moment Barcelona is only our favourite place for short breaks away and a place for me to discover slowly and write about it on my other blog Barcelona Tourist. While I was researching a feature about Trixi Cabs, I came across Trixi-Kids tricycle available for hire. The Trixi-Kids tricycle has to be driven by an adult and the box takes two children that are fastened with a crossed belt . There is also an alternative belt that is fastened across the waist. Below the seat there is enough space for the legs of the children and your things for the beach or hand luggage. Trixi-Kids tricycles are great for active parents who want to explore the city with their kids without tantrums. They can be hired hourly or for the day and come with the ever useful beach toys. The rental company offers an all in one package with an extra bicycle for the other parent. If you don’t feel so energetic you can always take advantage of the fun looking Trixi Cabs with or without a driver. The cabs have an eco friendly engine that helps to move the cab along uphill or when the legs run out of steam.

From my kids’ perspective, I’m certain this tricycle would be the hit of the entire trip! And you know, I’m fine with that. 🙂
