Easter fun for families at Kew
The fun is on at Kew this Easter with lots of activities for families. All week you can admire the chocolate sculptures on display and take part in the chocolate workshops where kids will learn to make objects from chocolate. I have a sneaky suspicion that the little ones will love to have chocolate as a craft material, think about how much fun they normally have covering their hands with paint and if you add to it the taste good factor of chocolate there is no doubt in my mind this activity will be a winner!
For children aged between 6 and 10 the chocolate trail “From Bean to Bar” is a fascinating educational insight in the world of chocolate. The trail is an introduction of all the plants involved in the process of making chocolate including cocoa, sugar, pepper, coconut and vanilla. A useful leaflet will help following the trail to find out facts and curiosities about the history of chocolate.
Finally on Easter Egg Hunt on Easter Sunday sounds like a lot of fun too. You will need to collect three tokens from the friendly characters hiding in the Gardens and hand them to Easter Bunnies at Museum n.1 to collect your Easter Egg.
