3D Art – the pop art clown
When my son was younger he would be very enthusiastic at anything I suggested. Now that he is seven he wants to be the one to come up with the ideas, which makes me proud that he has become so creative but at the same time it requires a lot of tact to introduce new things.
Yesterday he decided to make a 3D drawing that started as a pop-up card and ended up in a fun stand up drawing of a clown with 3D nose and hair.
To make the nose he made a little ball with newspaper and shaped it with masking tape, which he then painted red. The clown’s hair is made of strips of yellow tissue paper glued on. A very simple art project that looks very nice in his bedroom shelf.

Oh wow, the pop up clown is super cute!!;-)

Fantastic clown! I encourage my sons to express themselves through art and, in turn, it inspires me as well. I’ve been featuring their art on my blog every week (For example: http://www.thesafestline.com/inspiration-3/). Keep up the great work.
Looks like you\’ve got an up and coming pop art artist on your hands. Make sure you save the card….could end up as a limited edition artwork in the future.
