How to make wrist bands with popsicle sticks

This is my first attempt to make wrist or arm bands with popsicle sticks. It is a quite straight forward process, the hardest part is to bend the sticks. In order to do so it is necessary to soak the popsicle sticks for a good while, I left them in water overnight. The more drenched they are the easier it will be to bend them, however they still need careful manipulation or you’ll risk to break them. Make sure you soak more than you need because some are bound to break in the process. As you work your shape carefully place them inside the top of a glass or cup, remember the circumference of the glass will be the size of your arm band, so make sure it is not too wide or too narrow. Once you have them in place leave them to dry for at least twelve hours. If you take them out too early the shape won’t keep. Once dry, decorate as you wish. I used Washi Tape and markers, then I applied a coat of varnish.
