Cork crafts

I love old corks to make things. Yesterday I made a peacock with a cork, wire, paper pins and card. In fact the paper pins idea isn’t mine but it came in very useful to firmly hold the wire legs around the cork. While I was building the peacock, my nine year old son sat next to me making his own creation, which turned out to be an owl. He used only a cork and some paper pins. I quickly used his idea of the pins to make my project work better, but the best creation of the session was his spotted mushroom. To make the mushroom you need a cork, red paper and white flat top pins. It works best with Champagne corks because they have a wider top end.
