Festive bowling pins

Submitted by on December 4, 2012 – 2:59 am3 Comments

I am very proud to present these festive gnomes that in a previous life used to be Yakult bottles. They are not just gnomes without a cause, they are festive bowling pins dressed up as gnomes. Line them up close together, throw a ball towards them and watch them fall like miniature bowling pins.

To make the gnome bowling pins you need empty Yakult bottles, white paint, red crease paper, glue (hot glue is preferable), scissors, paintbrush and coloured markers.

  1. Wash the bottles and let them dry
  2. Paint the bottles with white paint. Apply at least two coats. Let the paint dry in between coats.
  3. Make small paper hats with your red crease paper
  4. Attach the paper hats at the top of the bottle with hot glue
  5. Draw facial features on the bottles with the coloured markers
