Snakes and ladders is one of our favourite games so we often adapt it to special themes and Halloween seemed like the perfect occasion to slightly modify it. Our haunted snakes and ladders is very easy to make with a piece of black card and coloured markers including a white one. The ghosts work like snakes so the players who land on one of the ghosts fall down to the marked spot while the cobwebs work like ladders and the players who land on the cobweb climb up to the number marked with a red dot. We have also added a couple of rules: the pumpkins send you back to the start and the bats make you go forward one place.
