Easter crafts: how to turn a plain box into a cute bunny gift box

Submitted by on April 5, 2011 – 1:25 amNo Comment

Last week I said I will be making all my Easter gift boxes this year so I started with my first one by turning a normal face cream box into a cute Easter bunny box. Materials: a box, construction paper cuttings, a button, scrap felt, glue, newspaper pages, paint and a black marker.

1. Cut enough shapes to completely cover the surface of the box and attach them with glue. This will give you a good canvas to work from.

2. Paint the box with the acrylic paint of your chosen colour – I picked vibrant blue – and leave to dry before applying a second coat.

3. Cut a little bowtie out of the scrap felt and attach it with glue to the front of the box and glue the button in the middle.

4. Cut the eyes and ears out of construction paper; attach the eyes to the front of the box and the ears at the back.

5. Finish the decoration adding a few facial details with a black marker.

6. Fill the box with shredded paper and place a few chocolate mini eggs inside.
