The Red Balloon

Submitted by on December 10, 2010 – 6:22 amNo Comment

The Red Balloon is the latest addition to my son’s library. If you don’t know this book I urge you to look it up for the sweet story and the beauty of the photographs. The old style photos were taken during the making of the Fifties French movie Le Ballon Rouge and they are a good mix of black and white pictures and a few images in colour. The Red Balloon is set in Paris and tells the sweet story of an unusual friendship between a lonely boy and a red balloon. A simple plot with a lot of images, which is perfect to keep the little ones fascinated and interested, but at the same time it will captivate the imagination of those kids who can already read.
