Simple Christmas cards

Submitted by on November 27, 2010 – 6:55 amNo Comment

The theme for this month’s Get Crafty is white. To some people white might be plain, but to a lot of us white is stylish and beautiful that’s why we made these lovely Christmas cards. Normally my son and I work together on a single project, but sometimes we make each our own version of one given theme. We set off making 4 Christmas cards; two each. I started by making my first card by using a simple collage technique. I cut the shape of a Christmas tree out of an old magazine and painted it silver. Once dry I stuck it to the front of the card and I finished with silver glitter glue.

In the meanwhile my seven year old simply drew his Christmas images with a black illustrator pen, non pencil, with complete confidence. He also wrote a personalized Merry Christmas inside. After I saw how well he was doing I let him decorate my other card so here they are.
