Learn through play: counting game with a recycling edge

10-green-bottles-counting-game

During my ongoing search for educational board games I found a great one, which is a counting game with a recycling edge. Ten Green Bottles is a simple board game based on the popular counting song “Ten green bottles sitting on the wall…” in which every player has 10 green bottles on the wall with numbers on them. The aim of the game is to recycle all the bottles so at the end of the game the winner will sing “There are no green bottles sitting on the wall…”. The game consists of counting the dots on the card, which is handed at every round and if the number matches one of your bottles you can recycle it in the bottle bin. This is a fun way to improve counting skills in young children whilst instilling in them the recycling culture. The game is available to by online, check out Fubmums affiliate store on Amazon for availability and price.
