With Halloween over and dusted, Christmas lights are popping up everywhere with shop owners dying to get us into Christmas mood, the sooner we do the sooner we start spending right? It won’t be long before the lovely Christmas songs are playing on every corner. This year I am going to make my Christmas cards and decorations, but this doesn’t mean I will stop shopping altogether. No that would be impossible, I love shopping too much for that.  A very creative son and a new found passion for crafts call for some serious homemade stuff. I look forward to making some new decorations for our Christmas tree, it’s a tradition that every year we add a little something and it will be so much fun to get all the art materials together and craft our own this Christmas. With this in mind I have been looking around for good art products and I found some great stuff at Panduro Hobby, they have the most amazing art supply to build anything. If you need some ideas to get you going, there you’ll find kits to make Christmas cards, tree decorations, stars, little angels and more. The choice is vast. As much as I like their cards kits and the Cone Children kit with the ready-paintedWeb heads, fleece and pinecones, I intend to make my decorations from scratch.  So I will be buying art materials, which I will mix to things we find when we go for walks in the pine woods. Some of the art supplies that caught my eye are the Twist and Draw window pens, which at £5.90 are a very good buy and will be great to decorate your windows at Christmas; the second product is the Artistick Fairy Tale, water based paint with an ideal consistency to paint figures. It comes in bottle-shaped tube pens that make it easy to paint directly on the surface. The other product I picked – beware the mess and enjoy the fun with this one- is the Tactil Color Fabric Finger Paint. Don’t forget to check my Monday feature on crafts as from next week the Christmas Crafts begin.
