What a fantastic setting for an ice rink, the east lawn of the Natural History Museum is the ideal place for that magical atmosphere of winter fun. The Ice Rink will be open every day between 5th of November 2009 and 17th of January 2010 with the exception of Christmas Day. Tickets are already on sale, there are special rates for students on Tuesday, while weekdays before 17:15 skaters will benefit from off-peak rates. Kids can skate safely in the junior rink which is linked to main ice rink via a bridge. All children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult and the good news is toddlers are also welcome, instead of proper skates they’ll wear Bob Skates, two blades that strap to the shoe.  Skate hire is included in the price of the ticket and they are available between size 7 and size 15. More information about sessions and special events at the Ice Rink are available on the Natural History Museum webpage.
