It is a renowned fact and a sore point for mothers of boys when it comes to shopping for clothes, shoes and accessories the choice is very limited. We really have to make more of an effort to find cool and original gear for our boys and the best stuff is not always there staring at us. Why should this be any different when it comes to Halloween costumes? Well there is some pretty cool stuff out there for boys, but the choice for girls is just insane. I’ll admit it would throw me out a little having to choose amongst the many options of witches’ costumes. On the Woolworths site alone I counted 14 different models. They are all so pretty that I wouldn’t know if going for the rocking witch, the spider witch, the gothic witch, the charm school witch, the autumn witch or the modern witch and the list goes on.As well as the ample range of witches’ costumes there are all other ones like pumpkin fairies, ghost brides and princesses.

The  boys’ range has limited choice in comparison, but with some good options nonetheless including my favourite Dark skull Warrior, the Frankenstein monster, the bat costume for both toddlers and older children and the skeleton suit. The best part is the face paint kit with step by step video instructions on how to apply it, although the person applying the make up in the video is obviously a make-up artist, which makes it look very easy, but I must warn you I have not tried it myself so I cannot say how easy these steps actually are. I still wanted to share this video because I find the little pumpkin face make-up just so cute.
