To celebrate Kids Week from August 14th through to August 28th in London kids between 5 and 16 go free to West End theatre shows when accompanied by an adult paying full price. There are 28 shows to choose from; all of them come with an optional linked activity. As well as the shows, a range of theatre workshops is available to kids of all ages. However due to the limited amount of places most of the workshops are already full with the exception of Your say, your play, one day! on Monday 17th of August at the Tricycle Theatre and the Exclusive backstage tour at the Lyric Hammersmith Theatre on Friday 21st of August. This workshop explores the world behind the curtains by following the footsteps of an actor from the dressing room to the stage.

To mark the end of Kids Week there will be a party at the Unicorn Theatre on Friday 28 August, which is free and exclusively open to Junior magazine readers with children aged between 5 and 10.

This is a fun event running for the second year in a row with the team from Kids Week working close together with the Unicorn Theatre, which is the only purpose built theatre for young people in London, to give 100 young children the opportunity to take part in theatre based activities such as drama games, sing-along and dance workshops.

For information on workshops, the shows, their linked activities and how to book check the Kids Week website.
