Never too young to travel

barcellona

Luca was just three months old the first time he travelled on a plane. It wasn’t a real holiday, but one of our usual trips to London. He was absolutely fine. We never go travelling without him, ok I can’t deny it was really hard work to travel with a baby, mostly because babies need so many things from nappy changing and sterilising products to bottles, feeding gear and a lot of baby clothes, but it does get easier. Toddlers who have just abandoned the pram might still be tricky, but by the age of 4 they will be fun to travel with. Luca really likes going away to visit new places. The first holiday he really enjoyed was last year in May when we went to Barcelona for a few days. He took part in everything; he walked everywhere, tried and liked the local food – he is a fan of going out to eat – and he even practiced the few words of Spanish he learned watching Dora the Explorer. The high note of the trip was the visit to the Barcelona Zoo, which is a must when travelling with kids. We particularly enjoyed the feeding of the dolphins in the open air pool and the pony riding in the kids farm. There is also a fun playground for you to relax after watching the animals and for the kids to release more energy.

Thanks for the tip we’re going to Barcelona next week and are travelling with 2 children 6 and 4. We’ll try the zoo and let you know what we think.
